Save the Children are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us at the Velothon Wales on Sunday 14th June in one of two event day roles

1. Be part of our cheer team!
If you’ve got a loud voice and love being part of the action, we’ve got the role for you! We rely on volunteers to make sure each event day is a great success. You don’t need any prior experience, just bring your enthusiasm!

It really is a case of ‘the more the merrier’, so if you can rustle up a group of friends to come along with you, that would be even better!

These are some of the things you might be involved in:
. Spotting our Save the Children cyclists as they pass the cheer point, calling their name and giving them a huge cheer as they pass.
. Making as much noise as possible to show our Save the Children cyclists how proud we are of their achievements. This will give them a huge boost on their way round the course. . Shout, sing and use the provided musical instruments!
. Cheering on all cyclists as they pass, even if they are not racing for Save the Children. (If we make their race memorable, we might encourage them to run for us next year!) . Welcoming friends and family who come along to cheer on their cyclists.

2. Post-race reception
Our cyclists and their friends and family will be invited to our post-race reception at the Charity Village near Cardiff City Hall. These are some of the things you might be involved in:

These are some of the things you might be involved in:
. Helping with set up, decoration and pack down of the venue (balloons, banners, bunting etc.) . Assist with serving of refreshments
. Greet cyclists, their friends and family to the venue and thank them for their hard work . Chat to cyclists and their families about the event

We are also looking for qualified massage therapists to carry out post-race massages on our runners. Please ensure you have the relevant insurance.

We require volunteers between 9am to 4pm but are happy to organise shifts if you can only do certain times during the day.
