The Celtic Cup is an exciting wheelchair basketball event where Wales U23’s compete against Scotland and Northern Ireland. Wales are the current holders of the Cup having snatched victory from Scotland last year for the first time in the events history. This promises to be an action packed event!

We are looking for volunteers to help at the event with tasks including, supporting teams with moving equipment, playing music during games, collecting lunches, returning stray basketballs to the referee during games etc.

insport series is a large scale event where disabled people can come and try 20 different sports and find out abut local clubs.

We are looking for volunteers to assist the coaches with the delivery of a variety of sports. We are looking for enthusiastic people to encourage disabled people of all ages to try the various sports. Volunteers may also be asked to help set up some of the activities, and take them down at the end of each day.

This event has now taken place for 14 years and previous volunteers have found it to be a very rewarding experience.

To mark one month to the Rio Paralympics and to promote the Celtic Cup competition taking place in Cardiff, British Wheelchair Basketball are setting up a come and try it event in the centre of Cardiff.

Volunteers are required to assist with setting up the activity area, encouraging the general public to try wheelchair basketball, ensuring the activity is safe at all times, and promoting the Celtic Cup to potential spectators.
