You don’t need to run to be part of the biggest race in Wales!
With an estimated record 20,000 runners taking part this year in 2015 this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a large scale event, especially because Cardiff has been chosen to host the one off IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in March 2016 and this years
Volunteers are essential in making sure that race day is a huge success and we need your help to ensure runners have the best day possible.
If you have a friends or family member running, are an events management student or just want to get involved and experience the buzz of the largest race in Wales, become a volunteer!
You don’t need any special skills, just be reliable, flexible and have lots of enthusiasm!
There are plenty of opportunities at the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon, such as:
– Erecting barriers and signage to help set up the start/finish area – Be a race stewards, directing people around the Runners’ Village
– Support all the runners at Barnardo’s cheering stations – we’ll give you everything you need to make some noise – Hand out drinks at the water stations or goody bags at the end of race
If you are part of a local community or youth group that might be interested in getting involved, we would love to hear from you!
