The British FIM Speedway Grandprix will be taking place at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on the 9th of July. We are looking for some enthusiastic volunteers to help guide our fans from the city’s Fanzone with some positive attitude and enthusiasm.

No experience is necessary and any training you need will be given on the day. You will receive all information necessary in the morning and all the emergency numbers. At a certain time duties will change and we will move inside the Principality Stadium.

Ideally we there will be two people on any station so breaks will be possible.

At the 16:00 we will move inside the stadium and enjoy the British FIM Grand Prix.

It’s a great day out and the energy on the day is amazing so why not get involved!

We are looking for some enthusiastic volunteers to help support an inclusive tennis event for children with a range of disabilities. You’ll be asked to help with the set up the branding for the event before the schools arrive and then be assigned a "skills" or "challenge" station to help the pupils gain points for their schools.

No experience of tennis is required, just a positive attitude!

You will be briefed at the start of the event to ensure you are confident with what the structure for the day will be. You will be able to borrow a Sport Cardiff t-shirt so that you can be identified as a volunteer by pupils and staff.

No experience required.

Volunteer opportunity supporting the delivery of Summer Sport Camps delivered by Sport Cardiff.

Sport Cardiff are running 3 weeks of sports camps between 25th July and 12th August 2016. The camps will take place in two different venues: (1) Maes-y-Coed Community Centre (25th – 29th July) and (2) Cathays High School (1st – 12th August).

The camps will provide children aged 7 – 11 with the opportunity to have fun trying a wide range of different sports each day. In addition a selection of arts and crafts activities will be provided as well as a one specific Paralympic inspired day to enable participants to experience new sports such as sitting Volleyball, Boccia and Wheelchair Basketball.

Ideal for aspiring coaches or those interested in working with children.

No minimum commitment in terms of days available.

A joint venture between Swim Wales, the ASA and the RNLI to promote water safety awareness to children aged 7-14

Swim Safe is an free, annual programme of improver swimming tuition and water safety sessions for all 7-14 year olds at beaches and lakes across England and Wales. Swim Safe provides the opportunity for children to enjoy a fun, structured swimming session at a choice of open water locations – and learn all about how to stay safe. – Beach safety advice provided by RNLI lifeguards
– Up to 30 minutes in-water tuition with ASA accredited swimming teachers.

We are looking for volunteers to help with the running of the event: All volunteers will be asked to carry out a range of tasks, including: . Manage telephone/on site bookings and swimmer registrations
. Ensure all disclaimers have been signed for those booked onto a session
. Provide bookings lists to all operational team prior to the start of the lessons . Prepare and distribute goody bags
. Check booking list with teachers and placing participant in correct groups
. Advise and support children and parents putting on wetsuits / swimming caps and distribute swimming equipment
. Ensure participants are at correct positions (RNLI activity / lesson) . Ensure participants are returned to responsible adults . Carry out research questionnaires
. Local promotion of lessons by distributing flyers on beaches, in shops, local campsites and supermarkets . Handle enquiries and answer general questions on Swim Safe

The volunteer role is suitable for people who are :
. friendly and approachable manner
. enthusiastic and motivational skills
. good time keepers, organisational and administrative skills . good influencing, tact and diplomacy skills
. able to work independently, as well as within a team . basic IT skills – word/excel/email
. Enjoy being outdoors and interacting with the public

Be part of the grand athletics final for the best primary schools from across Cardiff and help measure and time athletic events including vortex throw, 75m sprint, long jump & 600m run.

No experience is necessary and any training you need will be given on the day.

Toilets will be available and there is a cafe on site for food and drinks.

You’ll also be asked to help set up the site with branding and then close the site down once pupils have left!
